Had a quick question and figured it would do some good to move on from mr. lck.
I am thinking about taking some of the telecourse at http://www.raisingcanine.co m/coursespage.htm. Anyone done anything similar?

Uh oh, Kendall - hope you're not opening another can of worms. ;)
That looks like an interesting concept. The only name I recognized was Jean Donaldson, but I'm not exactly familar with every name in the dog training/behavior field. Well, I'm not much help as I probably don't know any more than you, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to razz you a little bit....

Hey Kendall-
There are a lot of great trainers and behaviorists who are teaching those telecourses. I would not hesitate to take many of those classes listed....and I might someday...

Thanks for the input guys. What really caught my eye was the fact that it is something that I can afford... :)

Any quest for new information is always a good thing.
Just be careful, IMO, of any form of "knowledge" that has become hardened into an ideolgogy that becomes more and more removed from the actual reaility of canine experience. That's been my experience.
However, you and you alone can judge what does and doesn't work, based on your own experience and reality. That's what brought me to Natural Dog Training. When I first came across Kevin Behan's ideas I thought he was full of it. But as I experimented with his techniques I found out, as I tested each and every one of his techniques, that everything he said was true. Now, I am totally confident that anyone who puts his ideas to the test will find out, as I did, that Natural Dog Training comes closest to the most ideal and effective form of dog training there is.
Anyway, that's been my experience.

Susan Smith's telecourses are great! For some of us stuck out here in the frontier, going to more than one or two seminars every year is hard. These mini-seminars fill in the gaps for me. Some of the speakers haven't published popular books, but that doesn't mean they are unknowns.
