I posted on the old forum, but didn't manage to view any replies, before the crash!
We have a 3 month old Flat coated retriever (Tess), who is wonderful and knows how to pull on your heart strings at all the right times.
We live in a ground floor apartment ( right next to a huge park). Originally at night,we tried to crate her in the kitchen, however my wife thought this was a bit pointless ( as we have a baby gate on the kitchen door), so we gave her free run of the kitchen.
About twice a night ( or sometimes more), Tess will wake up to go the loo and find we're not there! Needless to say she howls and barks and whines like crazy! obviously with the neighbours we have to comfort her, or they would not get any sleep etc.
Any ideas how we can get out of this cycle?
thanks
