I thought that all of you 'dog people' might appreciate this one. I am working on walking with a loose leash (using clicker and treats), following the suggestions in Karen Pryor's book. We are at the stage where we go outside with Harley's leash attached to my belt. Well, it seems easier to put the handle throught one of my belt loops and put the clip end through the handle so he's attached. Has been going pretty good, he gets a little distracted by birds, etc. in the back yard, but no real troubles. We went around the side of the house last night, where we can see the street, and a truck went by with a dog in the back who was barking and barking. I saw that Harley was immediately interested, and braced myself firmly so he didn't pull me over. And he pulled my belt loop off and now I have a big hole in my jeans!! I was laughing so hard I could hardly yell 'never mind', but he stopped about ten feet from me and didn't run onto the road, so that part is good. I told one of my 'non dog' friends, and she didn't find it nearly as funny as I did.... she thought it was awful that my favorite jeans are wrecked (I'll just use them for the same thing and tie him to a different loop in case it happens again!). So I had to share with all of you, and am having a good laugh again!

Who knew that you could get such a thing! Man, I wish I had invented something like that (actually, I REALLY wish that I had invented the 'java jacket', you know those little cardboard sleeves that go over hot coffe cups...). Then of course I got to checking out the rest of the website, there's lots of stuff that looks good. I'll post my questions about products in another thread.
