Zia is 4 yrs old, I took her in one year ago. She had been abused and neglected. She has cholitis or something similar. A change in her diet or stress causes diarrhea (not fun). She actually hasn't had an attack for quite some time. I have slowly changed her diet. She eats purina beneful and for suppers (like all of my dogs) she gets rice, boiled beef and veggies. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of diets, certain veggies etc that might be good for her??

Wow Jen, Sorry to hear that your pup has stomach problems. My sister-in-law has Chron's disease, which is very similar to Cholitis. She cannot eat brocoli or high fiber meals. They make her have to go to the bathroom immediatley. If you do think your dog has this type of problem, google it and find some recommended diets for people. You can then alter it for your dog. Have you discussed this with a vet? They usually have some great food rocomendations for this.

Thanks! I was thinking about that but there are (or as far as people tell me) foods that dogs shouldn't eat like onions, someone told me peppers too, I've also heard corn. I've tried to find what people foods dogs shouldn't eat on google and couldn't. Or maybe it's all opinion?? I'm bringing one of my girls in to get fixed on the 23 so I'll talk to my vet then.
