Hi Everyone,
Well I kind of look foolish with this baggie hanging out of my pocket. It's full of cat shrimp and tuna treats. Every time Magic comes into the kitchen I grab the oven timer and make it tick. She does a little gig around the dining room table and whines but then I make it "ding" she just takes one step away from me (or the timer) and then comes right back and sits for her treat (I don't ask for the sit she just does it due to the NILIF) and doesn't growl or bark anymore. The phone is a little different, she gets up and runs around the house but as soon as it rings I say "treat" and she comes to me to get it. Soon I hope I won't have to remind her that I have treats for her and we have no more barking and attacking. No one has come to the door yet but I'm hoping she will react to the word treat in the same fashion with that. I'll do this same thing when we get back to Florida and see if she reacts as well there. I hope the calming signs and this new behavior of hers will help redirect her aggression.
