Since Mickey has been home from his stay in the hospital he has been on canned prescription food from the vet which looks like only turkey and rice with some vitamins and minerals, it actually smells good enough to eat! They said I could start slowly working back in his hard food which for the last 6 weeks or so has been California Natural Lamb & Rice, he never has been a really good eater, and I have also had to kind of prime him with a little chopped liver or ground beef mixed in. Anyway I started with just a handful of the CN with the canned stuff a couple of times and the diarhea started all over really bad, so the vet said to leave him on the prescription stuff totally for at least 4 days now and also gave some medication for him to take and I cannot remember the name of it right now. He seems to be doing better today again.
My question is, does anyone have suggestions on a good food for him that he would eat well, either canned or hard, or if I have to mix it, I just want him to eat without having to be persuaded every time.
I know someone out there said they have a 7 year old mini-schnauzer named Molly, but I forgot who that was, I was wondering what she feeds her.
