Grinding teeth!!!!!!!! :confused:

okay...I didn't know where to post this....but my dog grinds his teeth....

He is not stressed he only does it when he is relaxing.
When he puts his head down on my leg to go to sleep he gives a big sigh and then grinds his teeth!!!

It gives me the shivers!! :angry: It's like fingernails down a chalk board!!

Does any one elses dog do this?????
is it harmful to his teeth, is there any way to stop him?????? :help2:

I have never heard of a dog grinding it's teeth. This should be an interesting/informative question to answer (if someone has an answer)
I would think that it's not a good thing for him to grind his teeth. I know it's not good for a human to do it as it wears their teeth down. Some actually have to wear an appliance to keep them from doing it. I believe, it's usually done when they are asleep too.
I couldn't even guess at what could be done to stop him, unless they make something that he could wear while he's asleep. You may need to speak to your vet about it.
