Well my poor little knotty mutzzy went to the groomer yesterday. This is what happens when you dont brush your shih tzu every day! poor baby. It will be back in a week anyway. Her hair grows like weeds lol

She does look very happy...she must really be happy with her new "do"!

I know that I always feel good after a nice haircut!

Do you usually keep her long? I live in Louisiana and that's how most people down here (at least in my city) keep their Shih-Tzus.

I like the short cut :)
It makes her fur look so fluffy and soft

I usually keep her medium but her hair grows so fast. I dont really like the cut now but in 2 weeks it will be perfect. The longest i think i let her hair grow is like 5 inches or so. i never let her get to typical shih tzu length (down to the floor). The weather is starting to get hot up here so its good to give her a nice cut down. Other pics around here show her with longer hair

Gum Gum came back from the groomers yesterday with the same kinda cut! The usual groomer was ill so her mum (it's a family business) groomed Gum Gum, and gave her a wierd cut. Her head looks like a step, and they left her tail long so she looks a bit like a wonky lion.

Anyway, the pup is going to work with my mum today so she'll go in again and get a touch up - cos it's kinda ridiculous, the whole idea was to cut ALL her hair shorter for the summer!

Am I the only one who pictures her grabbing her pom pom (tail) and yelling out cheers for her favorite sports team? Cute picture.

I think she looks cute. We tried that same cut on Esmee once but she ended up looking like one of those bobble-heads. She needs her ears to be longer than her face and leave a little fluff on top. She is also a little broad through the hips so the pouf of tail did nothing for her but make her butt look enormous. Isn't it amazing how the cuts really change their looks? I was going to post a picture of her when she had the cut, but she is sitting right to next me and begged me not to...

my husband said the same exact thing when we first got chloe shaved down. he kept calling her "his little bobble head".

She is toooo cute!!!!!!! The reason I probably say that is cause she looks so much like my Maggie...though Maggies nose is out more than that. They have the same coloring and everything. Isnt it weird how much their hair lightens up as they get older. I swear one time I picked her up from groomer and thought they had given me the wrong dog! But than she started her "ive been at the groomer all day and you took me attitude" so I knew I had the right one!

Im not a fan of this cut at all but its good for warm weather and so easy to maintain. She definately looks like a bobble head lol. Shes only year old and her hair has lightened significantly She used to have brown eye patches but they are completely gone. Now she has tear staing lol. My mom says she went grey after her tramatic car accident experience lol. Im not so sure about that one but she defnately has gotten lighter
