Fear Stage

So my little miss priss is really becoming a lady. but today she was spooked by a rubbish bin (it was pretty scary. A clown painted on it!).

Then a little down our walk she saw some man in his front garden and actually started barking. When he moved she actually tried to run away!!! We were probably 7 houses down AND there was a canal between us.

Then she barked at a lady puching a bike and holding a bag of rubbish.


So, she is 7 months old. Is she potentially going through another fear stage, or just having a bad morning? she has walked this route before, seen the rubbish bin before, seen bikes and people with rubbish bags, etc. etc.

Whe Lola was about 4 months old she went through a fear stage and she was terrified of garbage cans as well!! She was also afraid of garbage bags (when it was windy they would move and she'd run like they were coming after her, it was pretty funny) Those were the two things that stuck out for me, I can't remember what else she was afraid of, it was all everyday stuff though.

She could very well be going through one of the "fear periods". I think Finnegan went through one at that age. 7-9 months. As I 'm sure you know, don't make a big deal of it. The less you acknowlege it, the faster they get over it.
