What a great idea! I'm relatively new to these forums, but have been following the discussions with enthusiasm. Here's Tanna, my rescued girl. We think she is a Border Collie/Shepard mix. Anyone have any insight?

From our recent holiday across the border in Utah:

Welcome to the forum! What a beautiful dog! I can definitely see the German Shepherd in her!

Why the boots? Is it for grip or just because the rocks hurt her feet?

Thanks everyone. We can't figure out her breed - she's only about 37 lbs, and shaped like a border collie, has very strong herding traits, and is FAST. Someone told us she looked like an Aussie sheperd. Who knows?

The doggy boots are to protect her feet. The slickrock in Utah and the scree in the Rockies can do a number on the pads of dogs feet. She only wears them if she needs them, most of the time she's footloose and fancy free!

I posted some stuff in the Chat forum about hiking gear for dogs...
