Leash Holding...

I was just showing someone I know how I hold leashes. then I realized I may be holding them differently than others and that was a topic I have not really seen. I hold leash with loop over the thumb as I was taught by a trainer a long time ago. Anyone else?

Loop over the thumb, rest of the slack kind of "s" back and forth in the hand?

Both arms down at my sides. Leash loop over my right wrist. Length of leash across my torso in front holding leash lightly in my left hand. Dog always on my left side.

Jill, I think we hold the same way. I find it gives more control. I could be wrong.
