hi, i haven't seen anyone talk about this but i was curious. my bailey (5 months old) gets hiccups at least 2x day. why is that? he looks so cute just sitting there, with his hiccups but i wanted to find out if its ok.

Hi Jesse~ Hiccups are perfectly normal in growing pups, shouldn't be anything to worry about :D

Jesse,
Finnegan got hiccups all the time when he was a puppy. I don't remember him having them anymore for months.

Jesse, Nala got a lot of hiccups when she was younger, now, at 1 yr old, she still gets the occasional hiccups... however not as usual as she used too... and yes, it is normal, I asked my vet and he said its as normal for dogs as it is for people!!! ;)

thanks everyone. i did ask the vet on his first visit and she gave me a medical answer that in short meant it was nothing to worry about. but i still needed the advice from my doggie pals.

Tilly used to get hiccups all the time too, but like others have noticed, they seem to grow out of it..I wonder what makes them get them as pups though??

LOL I was thinking when we had the puppies over. One puppy got the hiccups all the time. They sounded so cute though.

Cassie also gets them alot and my vet said it was fine.. What is SOOOO pitiful though is when she gets upset during bath time and she is laying in the sink on her dry towel trying to buru herself while I am drying her and she is hiccupping wildly.. Makes me feel like sucha bad mommy!!
