Too bad we're spread out all over the world! I have got to meet and add to my list of personal friends, several people from my desert message boards. Logistics are a little harder here.

You guys are killing me with the pictures of the shih tzus.. Cassie makes me melt and you both look great with your puppies! Here is a picture of me but I dont have one of us together yet (just me and hunny together and tons of Cassie alone) because my husband wont take one! haha.. We originally thought Cassie was going to be black and white but now she has this chocolate/brindle color coming out on her ears and she is beautiful! Take care and its so nice to see everyone!

Think about it - who in the family takes care of the dogs - "Mom". Actually, it's kind of nice for a change. In my world of ghosttowns, 4 wd trips, camping, and exploration, whether out there or on the computer talking to people about them - I'm usually the only female in the group.

Everyone knows mommys are the concerned ones and the caregivers and the ones that mean business....not that my boyfriend doesnt get concerned but daddies are for FUN....boy has mutzzy learned that

I don't have any children, but at home I'm the "Mom", mom for my dogs and my husband... the one that takes care of them and the house, I guess you guys are right... Daddy is great for playing and doing goofy stuff... but when it comes to taking care of them... beign sure they have food and water, get their food ready at the scheduled hours, taking them to the vet, etc., that's me, my husband won't even know their feeding schedule ;) Not that he doesn't care, but he's a big baby too!!!!! :p

Oh its the same here too. im going on vacation in May and hes going to stay here for the week to take care of her....I just finished writing up a PAGE LONG checklist of things he has to do in what order he has to do them and a bunch of rules and regulations...oh and also a bunch of post its to leave in appropriate locations. Im hoping hell be able to keep up with it. Maybe hell realize what hard work it actually is.. Its not all fun and games for mommies. He loves her just as much as i do so im hoping hell be as meticulous as i am I call it meticulous He calls it neurotic...go figure:rolleyes:

Good luck Francesca!!!! I was out on a company training for about a week and left my husband in charge of the dogs... well, I called every day to make sure they had eaten and exercised and everything (I left the exact same checklist :) )... WEll, he did a fairly good job... they ate, had their exercise, he even taught them a couple of new tricks!!!!! Of course, poopy land wasn't as neat as I left it... it seems he cleaned up after the dogs just a couple of days, when I returned I had to clean tons and tons of poop from the backyard
But all in all, it was better than I expected, he even took the time to groom Molly (mini-schnauzer) and brush and clean Nala's ears!!!!

Sexist sexist sexist :banghead:  ...this house is bachelors only! Not only am I the caregiver but, I am also the trainer, worker, transportation to shows, handler in the ring, and scratcher of tummies. So come on...let's hear it! :yourock:

 Yeah for the guys!! But, it's the same at my house. Mama does most of the everyday stuff. "the Bud"=hubby gets to do the swimming, walking in the forest preserve, etc. All the fun stuff, but guess who gets the best obedience from the furball?

Jarrod.... that's because there's no girl at your house!!!!!! you had to be the mommy!!!!!!! naaa, just kidding, I know some men that have that maternal instinct... my husband has it, he just won't use it when it comes to cleaning up or doing the "boring stuff" :p
