Petsmart?

I just have to ask it, I've been wondering since I joined. What is Petsmart? Is it a pet supplies shop or a chain of training schools or....? Thanks, and sorry for the silly question! :D

Petsmart is a store that also offers grooming, training classes, sometimes veterinary services, etc. You can go to www.petsmart.com if you're curious. It's sort of a pet superstore, but they only carry a few dog foods that are considered good food options. Hope that helps!

petsmart is this great store that's like a toys r us for dogs :D . i love going in there . they have all sorts of great toys and accesorries as well as grooming. i use to get my babies food there but since i had to switch i now get it at petco, which is another store just like petsmart. if you can find one of these where you live, take a trip over and check it.

I don't think they have petco or petsmart outside of the US. The really great thing about them is that your pet is allowed into the store as well....I wish they had one closer than 40 miles from me as well....lol

That's really sweet, and a good idea though cos all dogs owners must LOVE that going to buy stuff for your dog can be a big social event for them! I wonder if they have to have someone on 'accidents' duty, I mean, my pup still wees a bit when she's excited!

I found some things cheaper at Petsmart like puppy pads, then I found them cheaper at Walmart, but everytime I go into Petsmart, there are lots of people and dogs there, but Petco is always empty. I wonder if it is because maybe their prices are higher? Or maybe it's the stuff they carry or don't carry?

Now I just go to Petco, because Petsmart does not carry Natural Balance, atleast mine doesn't.

Rowena, it is fun to take your dog for an outing to the pet store, because everyone else seems to bring their dog with them too.

If anyone has a Gander mountain store by them, they allow dogs on leashes, too. I just found that out yesterday. They may just be in the midwest. It's a sporting goods type store, but they have some great clothes and knick-knack kind of things, too.(lots of lab stuff). :D

When I lived in the US I loved petsmart!!! I would take both of my 60+lb dogs and would be dragged around until I got at least one 50lb bag of dog food in my trolley.

And as for the accidents, yes, they happen. Often on the "end caps" you can see someone "marking" their end of the aisle.
