DNA Test for dogs?

I am sure it is possible but when I saw a female dog up for adoption in Illinois I couldn't help but be amazed at the resemblance! The first 2 pictures are of the dog in Illinois, and the 2nd two are of Fozzie. Could this almost 2 year old female have had a puppy who is now about 8 months old? Crazy!

kind of like separated at birth?? :D
They probably have the same mix of breeds. But they really do look alike.
