Hello,
I'm just wondering what the common consensus is in regard to buying food that can be fed to both adult dogs and puppies.
We have a 2 yr old and a 4 month old. Ruby, the 2 yr old, eats a mix of a couple of different foods because she is a finicky eater and she has had a sensitive stomach in the past.
Piper, the 4 month old, will not eat her own food (which is specifically a puppy food) without mixing it with something like rice or cottage cheese, but she tries to snitch from Ruby's bowl every chance she gets.
This weekend we decided to try Natural Balance (Ultra Premium Dry) because of a couple of different reasons: 1) The ingredients sound good to us (first 3 ingredients are: chicken, brown rice, duck), 2) It is carried by our local pet store, and 3) It says that it can be fed to both adult dogs and puppies.
We gave a bit to both dogs (mixed in with their regular food) and they loved it! Piper is actually eating from her own bowl instead of trying to snitch from Ruby's bowl.
Does anyone know of any reason why we couldn't or shouldn't feed this food to both dogs (in the appropriate size portions)?
Thanks!
