Whippets

Hi All,

I've been looking into whippets, and wondered if anyone has owned one, where I could find more info, what their temperament is like, etc.

If we decide to get one, it would definitely be from WRAP rescue, they have a great website!

Hi Diana - "Dogs 101" just had a show about Whippets. They certainly seem like great dogs. I did find some info on Wikpedia:

I always thought whippets ere nice dogs. They seem so well mannered and friendly. I don't know too much about them. I'd imagine they are similar to greyhounds. They need their exercise, but they are expert couch potatoes. They are gorgeous dogs too, and they are not too big if you are not interested in large dogs.

Thanks! That is what I've been reading too. They are about the perfect size, IMO, not too small, not too big! :D

I'm hoping by this spring to have at least a full acre fenced in, we'll see what happens. :)
