I'm using the dog whisper techniques on Magic for her fear aggression with the phone, the door bell and the oven timer. So far so good. When the phone rings she will raise her head and look at me, I do the rapid eye blink and she just lays there and watches me get up and go answer the phone. The oven timer doesn't even phase her anymore but the door bell still has her barking and running around. She does come to me when called and will sit and allow me to calm her down while Mom answers the door. She also understands the difference between "bark" and "good quiet" I'm so happy with her she's come around so easily with this technique. He may not be all he claims but he sure has helped my Magic.
Renee if he doesn't answer your email I'll try emailing him myself and see if he will respond to someone that has purchased his program.

Judy-
It sounds to me like you are simply using calming signals to help Magic to relax. It's really not some crazy dog whispering technique... If you are want to learn more, you can buy Turid Rugaas's book On Talking Terms With Dogs : Calming Signals. Turid is the foremost expert on this subject. Brenda Aloff also has quite a nice section on calming signals and dog communication in her book Aggression in Dogs. It is great that you make progress with Magic. If you are still having problems with the doorbell, it will take more than just calming signals to help you along (though I recommend that you keep using them). You might want to use good old counter conditioning and desentization techniques to help you along...I totally understand where you are at. I too am working with my dog on not reacting to the doorbell and people entering the house.
Keep it up,
Did you ever consider Tellington-Touch Techniques?

Hi Renee
Yes I have just received the TT book in the mail (took 15 days to get here) and I have read the first chapter so far and am into the technique instruction just now. I'll give it a try as soon as I'm sure of what I'm doing with it .
