Hello everyone. I visited Doggiedoor everyday to check for new posts. What a wealth of information it provided! I'm sorry I will not be able to anymore, but I am looking forward to learning even more from here :)

I'm 29 years old, married, and live on the coast of Southern California. My very first job ever was at a local animal hospital in my area. I was soon promoted to Kennel/Boarding Supervisior, and was in training to become a Vet Tech, when I decided to leave my job and return to college to pursue an English degree. I missed working with animals very much, so I adopted two cats from a local humane society. They are named Cinder and Mandy and are now both senior cats :) I also now have a 16 month old Boxer/APBT/something-or-other mix named Felony who is my first dog other than the family dogs we had growing up. She a handful, and has more energy than any dog I've ever known, but I love her very much.

I can't wait to hear more about everyone else and their pets.

Hello to everybody...It's great to see names I recognise from Doggiedoor.And to see new people who have found Doggie Bag...

I was a bit of a lurker on Doggiedoor,always reading posts and learning,and only replying sometimes when I thought I had something to contribute.The thought of starting again with a new name kind of got the better of me and I've put my dog's name first instead of my own like I did on Doggiedoor.Since I was something of a lurker,my name might not ring much of a bell to more frequent posters,but I'm Krista and have a Husky mix named Misha.She's my kitty-friendly baby.We spent part of the day taking a feral from our cat colony to be neutered and setting up appointments to do more cats next week.Misha thinks it's fascinating to have one of the ferals riding in the car with us.We've been taking cats to the vet or dropping them off with fosters so much lately,everytime we get in the car,Misha checks the front seat to see if the cat carrier is there.She's like a mother hen!

I look forward to reading everyone's posts in here and hearing about your dogs.Thank goodness for Colleen and the rest of you who have pitched camp at this site!
