Bambi's owner is not willing to drive him to a previously agreed upon location to allow me to take him into rescue. My director is going to try to find transport from St. Petersburg to Lakeland for me. She wants to give up the dog but isn't willing to meet me half way. I told her it was almost a 2 hour drive for me to go to St. Petersburg but she didn't seem to care. I guess it's her choice to not bring him in, and it is also my choice not to spend my whole afternoon and evening in the car to get him. There are people willing to take him in and transport him for us, but the woman isn't receptive to using these people. I believe she doesn't want to turn the dog over to our transport lady because she doesn't want her to know she's giving up the dog. She got the dog from this same woman.. I don't understand people. She knows she can't take care of the dog and two small children but refuses to cooperate with us to get him into rescue.....So keep good thoughts for Bambi and that we can get him into rescue if for no other reason to have him checked for H/W.
