I know it must be disheartening to come to a site that is empty, but we can get it started again!! If you were in the middle of discussing a certain problem or idea, please repost your topic to the correct area and try to use the same subject heading so everyone can recognize it.

Thanks Colleen for doing this... I was feeling so lost, no where to go about my dogs business, I was so wanting to tell a story and no dog forum was available, I'm so happy you opened this one I already registered!!!! I hope to read from old friends from doggiedoor in this forum!!! thanks again

Colleen, thanks so much for stepping in and putting up Doggie Bag. Hopefully, the other site can be rebuilt or started over but I really appreciate you getting this going as a subsititute. Doggie door has served as an invaluable resource for me and my dog. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and participated. I look forward to many more posts and replies!!

Like everyone else, I'm very sad to see that so much valuable information may have been lost. I apologize if this has already been suggested, or if I should be posting this elsewhere, but could some of the information perhaps be recovered from the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine ( http://web.archive.org )?

I only posted to the doggiedoor forum a few times, but I visited the main site often and found it an invaluable resource. Thanks to all who made it possible, and best of luck to those trying to restore the site.

Ren,
That is the coolest site! I had no idea it existed. You might email DoggieDoor.com at crash@doggiedoor.com to let them know that exists, since I'm not part of the site and they probably won't have time to read it here.
Thanks!
Colleen

Thanks so much for thinking of this! I was trying to open up the doggiedoor site, was unable to and I was definitely getting withdrawals. :D

I have a 14 month old Olde English Bulldogge name Bogart. Hope to see some more people over here from doggiedoor!!

Like everyone else who has posted to this message, I too was devistated by the crash of doggie door! Thanks for setting this up. I had only been a member for a short time but also learned so much about my furrbabies (including a cat) and how they interacted with each other and me. I look forward to doggie door returning and let us know what we can do to help you continue this site until it does!

Some dog forums have old posters who resent new ones, so it's nice to get in on the ground floor, but doggiedoor wasn't like that anyway. Everyone was friendly and welcoming there, and you could post and be corrected if you had wrong information without anyone doing it in a mean manner or to be condesending.

I know I will not become an old crusty poster and say I was here first or a long time when new members join over time and pretend to know everything. I welcome advice and to be corrected if I have wrong info. So many dog sources and even vets don't agree with each other, so sometimes it's good to agree to disagree when two posters can't seem to reach an agreement. :D
