Hi, I just started using the u-loop-shaped comb thingy on my labbies and I couldn't believe all the fur I got off. How often should I use it? Can I over brush them? I was thinking maybe once or twice a week, but should I do it daily instead? Thanks in advance!

Brushing everyday can actually enhance the bond you and your lab has. There is not any over brushing unless you are brushing thesame area for hours at a time. If you find that each time your brush him every day you don't get any hair, then try every other day. But I'm sure you'll get hair every day. Beign a lab, they can produce a lot of under coat but every dog is different. Some shed more than others so if your needs the brushing every day then do so. It's fine and won't hurt the coat.

My sister's old lab (who has gone to the Bridge) LOVED to be brushed. As he got older, the more he loved it! She said that a couple of times a year he'd shed out all that undercoat, and she could use the 'stripper' or whatever that thingy is called every day. Other times, a couple of times a week was enough to keep his coat in shape and the shedding in the house to a minimum.
Cooey also enjoyed a good vaccuuming whenever my sister would endulge him!
