Hey everyone!
The server move is now complete, and we haven't lost anything. ;)
A special thank you to Colleen for her enthusiastic help in getting everything back in working order! We are pleased that we can continue her vision!
A few items of note:
1) Your new administrator is TimberWolf (Anne P.)
2) If you wish a new username/alias instead of using your real name here, please let us know via the contact form or a Private Message.
3) We've added a shoutbox, a quotes database, and a chatroom. These are only a few of the new *areas/scripts* you will see on this site. You will also notice quite a few minor layout changes and added functionality within the forums itself. Feel free to try them out!
4) After this beta test period, we will be working on a completely unique and beautiful website design/style to make our site look as nice as possible.
5) You will notice a few bugs around the site (report them!). Bugs may include an occasional incomplete image. Please be sure to reload/refresh the page before submitting these bug reports as your computer might be trying to locally cache something from the old website. ;)
6) Over the course of the next few days, we will also be re-organizing the forum area to consolidate several similar areas as well as adding new forums for the community to take part in.
All in all, this should be a great experience and I appreciate you all sticking with us during our growth phase!

One more thing...
You may find that you need to re-upload your custom avatar images, as well as your custom profile pictures if you find one or both does not display properly for you.
Sorry for the inconvenience. ;)

Hi Everyone!
As you can see, Timberwolf (Anne P) has taken ownership of the site and has already made some of the many improvements she has to offer.
I will still be around the Doggie Bag, but as a member more than anything else. Anne is so excited to take over the site and I know her level of attention will serve the site much more than I could!
You'll notice some of the 'rules' have changed, such as the usernames which can now be aliases. Its a long story to explain why I upheld the old rule, but I think this change will allow many more people to participate in the forums.
Thanks to everyone who was so kind to me in the early days of the Doggie Bag. Your support was invaluable! Anyway, enjoy the Doggie Bag!
Your former Administrator,
Colleen

Colleen, Thank you for all you have done to keep us connected and to make this a great site! I truly appreciate it! There have been many times during the last year I wouldn't have known where to turn for advice and guidance if this site was available!
Anne, Welcome! When I saw we were getting a new Administrator I was a little worried but I am thrilled to see the new guy is you! I know you will do a great job! If I can help in any way just ask. Good Luck to you!

I have been without internet for a few days, and then logged back on this morning, and didn't know where the site was! Glad to see it's still here and going strong. One question I have is about how or who pays for this site. I know that I made a donation a while back. Do you still need us to donate if we can? Or is it otherwise funded?

Hello Sheryl!
Currently we have temporarily disabled the donation link. It will be back up very soon.
As time goes by, you'll be seeing little changes occur to this site. I'll make announcements as they appear.
Thank you Stefie! I really am looking forward to working with everyone. :D

The donation link has returned. :)
Thank you to all those who can help us with server and site script costs from time to time. It really is very appreciated!
We'll be putting a contributor icon in everyone's posts that donate shortly!

Wow! I am offline for just a day or two and whoosh! Everything is different and we don't have to worry about the site.
Colleen, thanks so much for saving all of us when DoggieDoor collapsed. I was personally very grateful when you did that.
Anne, thank YOU for saving us yet again. I do appreciate all the hard work you'll be doing to keep us going.
Warmest regards,
Renee

Colleen thank you for giving us a place to come after Doggiedoor crashed and Anne thanks to you for picking up the reins. I feel like i am missing a part when i dont' get to visit at least once a day (usually more often). this site has been invaluable when it comes to dealing with my babies and some of the issues we have had.
May i make a suggestion for a particular room? You might add one for books and book reviews, both good and bad books. that way those of us that have or need to read can get valuable advice on what not to bother with and what we might find helpful

Luciann, No problem! I had actually written up a description and created a forum for that but I wasn't sure if anyone would want one up soI kept it hidden. I'll go ahead and make that active :)

Great, i think it will be well received and that we can all benefit from it. there are so many books out there and not all of them are good ones and i think that this way we can all benefit from what others have read...thanks

Everyone, thanks for all your kind words. I was just so glad I could provide a place to keep chatting about our beloved pets!
I am so excited Anne has volunteered to take the ball and run with it!
A quick word on donations, since Sheryl asked, your contributions were a HUGE help since all the funding came right out of my pocket. I'm sure Anne will appreciate any contributions that are made, especially with the forum license coming up for renewal in March! Thanks for asking!
