posting pictures...

Hi everyone,

So glad we all have found this NEW PERMANENT HOME...Thanks a million Colleen Egan!!

Anyway, I'm having problems posting a picture under my name. Any suggestions, advice, feedback on how to do it is much appreciated.

Here is how to post a picture:

Step 1: Go to Photobucket.com and click on ‘sign up free’

Step 2: Fill out all of the necessary information and click ‘Register’
-you will be taken to a screen with free offers…click ‘no thanks, continue’, which is located at the bottom right of the screen.

-an activation email will be sent to the account you used to sign up with.

-the email will come from support@photobucket. com and have a subject line reading ‘photobucket registration’

Step 3: Click on the link below the line reading “Follow the link to activate your account.”

Step 4: You will be taken to a message reading “your account has been activated!” Click on the link below this message to be taken to the login screen.

Step 5: Enter the password you used when creating the account

Step 6: Click on “Browse”, which will open a file attachment screen.

Step 7: Find the picture you want to add and highlight it. Then click “open”. This will add the url for that picture to the box reading “Picture”. Click on “submit” and your picture will be uploaded and added under the section titled ‘Photos’. You can add as many as you want by repeating Steps 6 and 7.

Step8: Below the picture (on the third line down is a link for an IMG. Highlight the entire link using the mouse. Once highlighted, right click on it and select copy. Then open your DoggieBag post and right click in the text box that you are typing in – select paste and this will copy the IMG line to the text box. The picture will not show up until you submit or preview your posting.

Hi Maria,

You mean a new avator? If so, open your picture in Microsoft photo editor and decrease the size to fit an avator (not sure how small). Then in your profile upload into your custom avator. Check it out and let me know.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the instructions...I thought I had it right in the old site...

I too use photobucket. I have pictures in there which I was able to use in the old site, but don't seem to work in here. A window message appears when I paste it in the URL saying: Error, cannot find an image at the specified URL. I specified a valid URL, same as I used before. I guess, I'm not good at this.:?

If you have any other suggestions, please pass them on.

Hi Jesse,

Yes, I meant an Avatar, pictures, what do I know ( scratching the top of my head. ) It worked in the old site...Now I can't post a decent size picture:( of my babies.:?
