Hi,
I have a tiny full grown chi brat named Capri. Does your dog's first name have a meaning to it? Is your dog a particular breed or mixture of breeds that you know of? She sure is pretty with that snow white face. Kind of reminds me of a Sheba Inu a little bit.
Bye, Grace

Nahima (Nah-Hee-Ma) in Sioux means Mystic and the Rose just fit..Mystic Rose.
She is Half Siberian Husky and half Timber Wolf (I didn't breed her she was given to me) Her mom is pure bred Siberian Husky and her dad is pure bred Timber wolf.
She is a doll and I love her to death. It always amazes me how fast you can get attatched(sp) to your furbabies. She is so cute she will come inside from going potty and sit on my foot till I pick her up lol (I don't see this lasting long :-P ) she sleeps on my chest or lap (this either  )and if i leave her site for more than a few seconds she starts howling (she hasn't learned to bark and from what I have read depending on how many of the wolf traits she inherited she might never bark only howl)

Hi,
I am in Bell County for now. I am planning on moving soon to MN. The horse is actually my husbands. His dad recently bought him for civil war reenactments. We don't know that much about him and from what the vet said due to alot of muscle and tnedon issues he has my husband might have to get rid of him and try to find another horse to ride instead. I havent ridden a horse since before I had my kids. My husband refuses to let me put a english saddle on his horse lol so I don't ride. I actuallly hate western saddles lol (sorry for any misspelled words. I havent been to bed yet and its 4:13 am here)

Hi,
Wow, she is going to be one big furry doggie! I can see her thick fur already. My dog, Capri, is named after the tiny Italian island off of Naples (tiny and beautiful) which fits her.
My dog and I were so attached from day one, that the next day when my husband went to work and came home, the brat was growling at him, even if she was under the covers with me and heard his voice which was funny, but it needed to stop. He kept contact with her and made her accept him finally. It can be a chi thing though to attach themselves to one person.
I love horses and started riding western, but had English riding friends and learned that too although my preference is still for western saddles and riding horses that jog and don't have a hard long post, before they go into a gallup. Posting when riding English if you use your calves gives your really rock hard calves. If the horse has an extended trot, then English is a good way to ride the horse since sitting to a trot like that can be very hard unless the horse has a very smooth ride.
Tendon and muscle issues? The horse actually sounds like he is lame and needs to be put out to pasture or bought by a family with a very young child that won't ride him hard.

From what we have learned he was a header (roping) horse. And was treated very roughly. It was funny the other weekend my husband went riding and Raider saw a deer and went into roping mode he followed the deer then when charlie corrected him he bacame very frustrated. He is looking at a differernt hose now. One that is used to cannons and gunfire and has been doing reenactments most of her life. He loves Raider but knows that he will be better of somewhere else. :(

Hi Val,
I bet being a roping horse is the equivalent of someone being an athlete that wears out certain parts of their body that are constantly being put under stress. I've seen roping horses and how low they have to go to make those sharp turns. It's amazing how quickly they can turn and how agile they are for a large animal.
I wonder if there are any police horses around to be bought that are going to be retired? I think they are trained to withstand the noises of crowds and guns going off.
Bye, Grace

Thats an idea I would have never though of. I am sure that our sheriffs dept might have a horse or two. I will have to let him know about that. Thanks

Hi Val,
You're very welcome. It may be a long shot to find one that is ready to retire now, but perhaps they can help you track down other police depts. that also use horses.
This will be your first Christmas or shall I say holiday season with your new puppy. It's always fun to buy them toys for Christmas. Mine doesn't take to toys, so I'll be giving her these cookies I make that are nutritious and she loves them too. She'll get a little less food and extra snacks since toys don't cut it with her unfortunately.
Bye, Grace
