Car sick

Does anyone have a treatment for car sickness. My 10-month-old standard poodle throws up every time we get in the car, even if I've fed him nothing.

The vet said to use regular Dramamine, max 125 mg. I gave him the max and he almost made it to the doggie park, but not quite. He did make it home.
