Ok everyone... I am taking a vote.
Most of you know Cleo our min pin mix. We have always been curious about what she is a mix of. Her " breeder" told us at first that she didn't know and then when pressed she said she thought she was a min pin/chi mix...Cleo is a 19 lb dog...chis nor min pins get this large(unless they are severely overweight) so we have been searching and I think we may have a winner. We think she may be a min pin/Basenji mix see this site if you don't know what a basenji looks like: http://www.basenji.org/
Anyway, I know there are some members on this site who have a lot of experince with dogs so I thought I would see what you guys think :)
Thanks
Mickelle

I have to say you have a gorgeous girl and you do great pixs as well. i think you might be right sincei do have chis and they are both standards the largest healthy ones i have seen are about 14 pounds at the most. so i agree i doubt it is a chi, but if min pins get that large it could be a chi

but your site that you posted definitely look a lot like her as well

I don't own either breed and I'm no expert, but the first thing I thought of when I saw your dog was min pin/basenji. I thought she looked like that mix before you mentioned basenji, so that's my vote. :)

I would have to vote for the min pin/basenji mix, I'm no expert or even know those breeds to well, but if you see the pictures of the breeds and the pictures of Cleo, you can se the resemblance on both breeds...

BTW, wasn't Cleo sick???? is she all better????? Sorry, I've not been around as much, but I was wondering about how did she did????

I also thought she had a basenji look to her when I first saw her picture. We have a basenji down the street that is constantly looking out the window when we go by. And Cleo is adorable.

Andre,
Yes Cleo was sick. She went through liver shunt surgery and we had a few scary weeks after that...but now she is like new!! She has gained 4 lbs, is happy, healthy and always finding new ways to ruin anything in her path. Thanks for your concern!!
Also, thanks to everyone for you comments and your opinions!

I have a friend who has a Besenji - Husky mix. Muskwa (that's 'bear' in Cree) is black and fuzzier because of the mix, but the shape of her head, ears, and back end is much the same as your girl.

my dog, pixie, is a min pin/basenji mix. she's small, and she won't get much bigger. I'm pretty sure your dog is a min pin/basenji mix.
