Urgent! i need advice

i could lose my housing if my dog continues to be a nusence (sorry spelling?) by barking she does bark at people but since i live in an apartment that cant be tolerated i had a meeting with the managers and they will let me stay only if buffy does not bark do any of you live in an apartment? with a protective dog i need advice should i retrain her not to bark with treats everytime she doesnot or should i give her up to someone who has a fenced yard and space for a watchdog help this is urgent any advice would be good

I have no answers, but just wanted to say that maybe you should post your question under one of the animal behavior topics on this site where it would get more attention and you also might find topics listed there already about people with barking dogs in apts. I know the subject has come up. You can also use the search feature and maybe put in barking which is a pain, but if you have free time while you're waiting for a response, the word "search" is listed somewhere's below the title of the page along with other topics.
