Hi, does anybody know where can I get information about how to run a temperament test in a dog, to see if it is fit to be adopted??? I volunteer at a shelter and they need this information, they do some tests but we really need to get something like a manual...
Thanks

Hi Andre~
Please keep in mind that the links' listed in the previous post(&below) are for dogs that already have owners not for dogs in shelters. Here is a link on information about temperment testing shelter dogs.

I personally am not a huge fan of using tempermant testing because I believe it often makes a gray situation black & white. If Lewie was "tempermant tested" it's quite possible he would have been deemed unadoptable & to think he could be pts for not passing a "test" breaks my heart. I also know that running & working in shelters can be very hard & stressful & that you have to
"draw the line" somewhere. Thank you to you & your sister for helping out these pups.
