well i have to say that we might soon be in the same situation that amber was in (and might be again) I live about 120 miles from Galveston Texas. they are saying anywhere from louisiana thru texas...and a good chance that galveston texas...

Yea I just heard that Harris County might let everyone that is employed by them off starting Thursday at noon, except for emergency personnel. I really hope I dont have to drive in the bad weather. I guess if we have to leave we would just go up to his parents house, we havent really thought about it too much.

well we are up to a cat 5, and due to hit land late friday. it is now showing just hitting texas and not louisiana and we are all taking it very seriously. if necessary we will head inland on friday. we are far enough inland that we should only have winds and rain here, but we will be safe and the babies come first. they can tell something is going on since we are all doing things to protect our property and stuff. i have brought in the plants and taken down all my windchimes, and i will do some packing today or tomorrow of stuff i don't want to take the chance of losing, including doggie toys....thanks all for your prayers and thoughts...we will keep you updated as it gets closer, the news can only tell so much

I have to say it looks like we will get it prety bad, we are on the bad side of Rita we will have some nasty weather this far in but i think we will be okay and yes everyone is getting ready, we are having some shortages but we will make it...i will keep everyone up to date as best i can
