Hi. I was a member of the K9U and DoggieDoor forums, although I didn't post much because of unpredictable internet access. I've lurked here but haven't posted, until now.

I have a reactive dog with his own special quirks that led me to begin reading and learning about dog behavior and training methods. I find dog behavior and talking to people about looking at their "issues" with their dogs from a slightly different perspective very interesting. I am starting to think about becoming a trainer and maybe, one day, a behaviorist. I have looked at the apdt site but thought some of the trainers/behaviorist out there might be willing to share advice, tips, suggestions, etc. You could PM me if you'd rather not post here.

Thanks, in advance, for any advice and/or suggestions you might have.

Renee,

Thanks for the link. I guess I didn't dig far enough into the old threads before I started mine.

I just finished reading Nicole Wilde's "So You Want To Be A Dog Trainer" which I thought was very helpful.
