I'm stoked! I'm going to the Tucson Clicker Expo in January, 2006! Karen Pryor is there, and the people who did the Take A Bow Wow series, and the woman who did "Click to Calm," and a lot of other people, including some researchers, marine mammal trainers, etc. My biggest problem so far is deciding what classes I'm going to take. They have both "Learning Sessions" and "Learning Labs," (you can actually bring your dog to the labs.) I'm not bringing a dog, due to way high-priced hotels, and the fact that I'm going to have to stay in a hostel ($18 per night, vs. $112 for the hotel.) Anyway, has anyone ever gone to one of the Expos? Any hints or tips on picking the most informative classes?

I haven't been to a clicker expo yet, but I heard that they are a blast. The clicker expo is heading to Minnesota this fall. I hope I have enough money to attend!

How did you find out about this Expo? Is there any way I can find out the schedule...not like anything EVER comes to the south! lol

Cost: You get an early-bird discount by registering before 9/30/05. It is just $345. I think this is a really good deal for three days of 8 or 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. It averages out to about $35-45 per 1-1.5 hour session, which is less than most private behaviorists/trainers charge.

Thanks for the information. Hopefully it will come down South some time soon.

They will be in New Orleans in September. It is a little pricey, but I am looking into going.
