How about sharing pictures of our dogs as puppies next to how they look now so we can see how they have grown up. :D
Here is Bogart at about 9 weeks

Here he is almost all grown up (not quite recent, but you can see the comparison from the pillows-same pillows just different pillow cases)

Great idea--I am going to try it now, after reading all of your helpful suggestions. Bogart is adorable--I also loved the picture contest--the hardest thing was definitely voting.

Linus at right around 6 months, when I first adopted him.

Your photos are so gorgeous.Bogart and Linus are adorable.Isn't it amazing when you look at them now and remember how little they once were!
I really like the idea of this thread,so here is my feeble contribution...How did you manage to post such good-sized,clear pictures of your dogs?Sorry if this exact subject has been discussed elsewhere-I should look before I ask but I don't remember seeing it on here.Every time I try to re-size my pics, they get blurrier if I make them bigger and the least blurry(and not too great) images are pretty small.I guess I need to invest in some software instead of using the free thing I'm using to compress my pics? My more recent photos are so wide they come out super blurry.
This is my dog Misha at about 12 weeks with my cat Pocono. They've been buddies from the start. The second pic is Misha at about 6 months trying to share the chair with Pocono. She's bigger now and no longer fits on that chair but she looks the same.

Andre Mendizabal
03-18-2005, 10:38 AM
Yeah, when I first got her she was almost completely black and white, but she has lost A LOT of her black hair and now she has a beautiful red-brown fur... she is still loosing black hair from her back!!!!
Jill Ramsey

I get black hair from Finnegan all the time. Ha Ha!! Actually, it surprises me, he doesn't shed that much. I was petting a yellow lab about the same age at our dog club last night, and the hair was just flying! I find hair on the floor and on his beds, but there isn't any flying around when you pet him.
Andre Mendizabal
03-18-2005, 12:40 PM
:P I do get a lot of black and white hairs flying around when I pet her, well, sometimes more and sometimes less... but we have to brush her everyday or we'll get flying hairs all over the place!!!! You know, all dogs lost their baby faces when grown, but Audrey still looks like a baby, she's so cute!!! I wish mine kept her baby looks!!! (and smell 8) )

Mario,
I know what you mean. I saw Finnegan's litter when it was 2 days old. We got to choose at 4 weeks. It was hard even then. Luckily, we wanted a male, so that reduced the choices. I think we got the best one!! :D I went to the same breeder on Saturday to look at some puppies, and the parents, and took Finn. The breeder was really impressed by him.

I love all the pictures! I don't have any puppy pictures of Maggie, as she was a rescue, too--we got her 6 months ago when she was about 1 1/2 years old. I can just imagine how cute she must have been when she was a puppy!
Karen
Here's a picture taken soon after we got her--you can see where her whole leg had been shaved for an operation she had on her hip, just before we adopted her. It took about 5 months for the fur to really grow back!

And here's a more recent picture--she's filled out a bit!

I love everyone's before and after pics...they are so fun to see. I don't have any to show of Nalu. I got him as a rescue at 4 months and he is about 7 1/2 months now so although there is definite growth and change, it is pretty subtle in the pictures I have. The most noteable difference to me is in his "look". When I got him he was scrawny with skinny limbs, matted hair, just a few teeth and a tough look and narrow face. And he had real bad kennel cough so he had a rough voice and constant cough. He looked like a street kid.
Now he is filled out all over with fluffy, wavy fur and a soft and curious face. And his voice is strong and clear.

hee, what a great idea! i love seeing the pics of all us member's dogs, it's like putting faces to names:D
Andre Mendizabal
03-30-2005, 12:51 PM
You're right Clair, its always easier to remember faces than names, so now its easier to relate dog-owner... for example, now I know that Clair is the one that has the white big dog and the small dark dog... Jill has the beautiful black lab... Hee has the bulldog, etc... :D
Oh... and Eric has the bone-eater beautiful Bailey!!!
Clair Taberner
03-30-2005, 12:58 PM
hey, that could be bailey's stage name u could just imagine..... And now ladies n gentlmen, tremble in yr seats as Bone-eater Bailey enters the ring! and that is a cute pic of him too:)

a shih tzu camp??? Really?? Cassie is SOOO spoiled that I have her here at work with me today because it is storming and I couldnt leave her at home alone and scared.. I have a great boss! I have to take her to the vet today to get her eyes checked out though- her face stays SOAKING WET and man does she ever STINK!!! I know its her eyes running but they dont know if she has allergies or if hte hairs in her eyelids are sticking into her eyes.. Any suggestions on how to keep her face from stinking? I have done alot of reading and tried the baby wipes her groomer suggested and NOTHING is working.. She is a playful cuddle bug but when she gets into your face the smell turns your stomach! Please help!!
