Did anyone see the article called "Honor Among Beasts" in the July 11, 2005 issue of Time. It starts the article by describing the purpose of the "play bow" and then goes on to other animal behaviors and asks the question if animals possess altruism, empathy and a sense of fair play. It doesn't go into a lot of depth, but a fun article to read for those who like to read about doggie body language! We may not agree with everything the article says but it does recognize the constant, fleeting postures and motions given by dogs.
