I've been switching the boys from Chicken Soup to Canidae for the past week and a half, have them almost fully converted, and am ready to offer a positive report. A bit of history first: both of them are finicky and have not liked Nutro or Chicken Soup. Funny, they both seemed to enjoy Eukanuba when I didn't know better.... I guess I'd rather eat ice cream and Fritos everyday too, but thanks to DoggieBag I learned that Euk is Yuk!

So anyway..... They would eat CS when they got really really hungry, but always picked at their food. Neither of them ever finished enough to get near their daily kcal requirement, which led me to Canidae in the first place because of the higher kcals per cup and great super-premium nutrition.

Now I mix their Canidae kibble with about a tablespoon of the Canidae canned food to coat it. Whereas I used to let them eat from the same bowl (like I said, neither of them ever finished in 20 minutes), I now have to feed them separately because they wolf it down so fast! Beans is the alpha-dog and I'm afraid he'd scarf down his and his brother's portion if I let him.....

Anyway, we're no longer sweating mealtimes and trying tricks to get them to eat. Beans no longer barks in the night when he wakes up hungry. I'm no longer worrying about adequate nutrition, nor am I having to limit training times because of giving rewards so that they will pleeeeez eat their real food.

Everybody seems to have their favorite diets on this site, and I am thrilled to finally have mine. 'Never would have found it without all the dog food info on DoggieBag.

Just wanted to give some feedback and dance a little Canidae Spirit Dance!
Canidae, you rock! :bunny:

Hi Susan,

So happy to hear the good news!

My Tzus are also very finicky eaters...the only way they will eat their dry kibble is if I mixed it with either plain yogurt, 100% pumpkin or can food.

Thanks for sharing the good results with Canidae.
