Hello all,I have a problem that I need to talk about. My puppy Angel, 8.5 months old, is really a goat in disguise! She eats grass, like most dogs do. However, she has taken to attacking my dead iris flowers in the yard, and in the house, she destroyed a house plant, complete with dirt! She ate all the moss that grew in between my patio blocks outside already, and she constantly is looking for things to eat in the dirt. What can I do to deter her from this? HELP!!!!!

Hi Vicki!
Sammy was doing the same thing--Petco recommended NO-DIG by Pet Organics and it worked!! I had tried bitter apple and and even Louisiana Hot sauce (it didn't phase him! what did I expect, he was born in S.Louisiana!)
But he didn't like the smell of No-Dig!
Hope it helps!

you might also want to talk to your vet, there might be something missing in her diet that the plant material satisfies. i had a dog once that had been locked in a cemetary and that is how he survived was eating plants and even after i took him home and stuff he still ate plants.....pruned a 6 foot crape myrtle tree down to a two foot twig, ate 2 rose bushes and would go into the stock pond and eat water weeds...

Vicki,
I just wanted to tell you how much I love the new picture of Angel! She's even more beautiful than her "first" avatar!
I have also used No-Dig on occasion when one of the boys starts digging a hole to China in the backyard and it does seem to deter their efforts. We have several iris and they will sometimes pull the dead leaves off of those too, but they're mostly interested in playing with the liriope--one strand at a time.... Everything's a chew-toy, right?
How's Angel doing with the you-know-what? We haven't had an accident here in two weeks, but until we make it to two months I won't believe he's housebroken! Take care,
Susan

Susan,
That's her! Her actual picture! I figured out how to post it there!
I know this is off topic for this area, but the update on Angel is about the same. The only difference now is I've begun to leave her loose in the house while I'm at work. So far, so good. She hasn't had any accidents in the house, nor has she destroyed anything except one house plant! I'm starting to think the cats put her up to it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Tomorrow, it will be a week I've been leaving her loose! Glad you are making progress over there!
As for all the information, thanks so much to you all. I will definitely visit my pet store and look for the No-Dig! I hope it works.

Vicki,
Very, very, very good news about Angel! I am so pleased to hear that giving her the run of the house is working! Way to go!
