I have been feedint Harley Purina Veterinary Diet Limited Allergen food for a little over 6 months. When his separation anxiety started, it was suggested that some of his licking/scratching/ general obsessiveness might be food allergy related, so I put him on that diet. I couldn't get it and tried Science Diet z/d for a couple of bags, but that seemed to come out exactly how it looked in the bowl (sorry to be graphic).
Now that his separation anxiety is getting better, I'd like to switch to a food that I can get closer to home and that is cheaper, and see if he still has the same kind of issues.
One person suggested lamb and rice, but I don't really know. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Brands like Purina, IAMS/Eukanuba and Science diet aren't the best, they don't have the greatest ingredients.

Brands like California Natural and Innova (www.naturapet.com) and Canidae (www.canidae.com). Are much better, they're ingredient lists are more impressive :D lol. They may cost a bit, but you feed less with a high-quality food because there aren't a bunch of fillers so you don't have to feed a ton to make sure the dog is getting all the nutrients he needs.
