There are a lot of people that don't believe that euthanized animals are used in dog food... Well the FDA says different......

Ick! I guess that explains why "meat by-products" is definitely not an ingredient you'd want to find on your dog's food bag. I know people can seem to get a little obsessed about foods and things, but I'm glad I at least know something about what to look for (and what I definitely don't want) when buying dog food. That article makes the dispute about corn in dog's food seem a little petty.... ;)

Rebekah, that is too funny, and yes I would rather seen corn in my dog's food than meat from a euthanized horse or cow. I wonder why those animals were given phenobarbitol to begin with. I'm sure it's an answer that would give me nightmares for months!!!

The bad part is that there is still phenobarbitol in the food from euthanized cows and horses even though they claim it's in very low doses. How disgusting!!!
