Hi all

Magic's water bottles have been put away. She completely understands what we mean when we say "Back off" now and will not come near us when we go to answer the phone. When she goes to the window and barks I simply call her name and say "thank you Magic now come to mama" and she comes to me with her tail wagging  She sits at my side and allows me to pet her and tell her she's a good girl. She doesn't go back to the windows and bark after I tell her how proud I am of her for letting me know the neighbors are in their own yard. I tell her she's just fine. Then she goes to her rug bed and lays down. Maybe she's just maturing or maybe all of this intense training for both of us has done the trick, I don't know but I'm gonna enjoy it fully!

Congrats! It seems like just last week you were asking how to keep her from flinging herself at your bay window! Its great youve come this far so quickly!!

It's gotta be the sheltie breed. That's all I can say. They can be very head strong at times, but once they learn something it's there for ever. I don't know what happened. She just stopped throwing herself against the window. Of course the water bottle may have had a "dousing" effect on the action, but it has completely stopped. We had neighbors on both sides (weekenders) and she did the low growl and bark but didn't hit the window once. I really can't explain it.
