Anyone know anything about the quality of Trader Joe's kibble? How does it compare to other kibbles?

The only food I get for my dogs @ Trader Joe's are the chicken strips. I don't care for their kibble...if I remember correctly, I was not impressed with the ingredients.

Funny you should ask about this - we don't have a T.J.'s here in FL, but I was up in VA over the weekend and stopped in as I do whenever I go up to visit. I looked at the kibble and the second ingredient is poultry-by-products. Yuck! I think the first was ground corn or something. I was surprised because I love the quality of most of what they have there, but I guess they haven't expanded into the great food for dogs arena yet. They did have Bench & Field kibble there, which is a good food, but it was a small bag so it wouldn't work for my large breed puppy.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not real up on what to look for (good and bad) on the ingredients list so I wasn't sure how it was. Since TJ's has so much good and healthy food, I was hoping their dog food might be good quality. I know their price is good but quality is more important!

We go to Trader Joe's all the time and I once decided to check out the ingredients. I believe corn was the first ingredient on one, by-products on the other.
